Our Team

Behind the Service Children's Community Choir is a dedicated team of musicians, educators, volunteers and supporters who are passionate about creating opportunities for military children to thrive through music. Drawing on a wealth of experience in music, education and community engagement, our team works together to provide a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment where children can build confidence, develop new skills, make lasting friendships and enjoy the joy of singing as part of a supportive choir family.

Our Volunteers

Our choir is supported by a team of incredible volunteers who bring a wealth of skills, experience and enthusiasm. Many of our volunteers have backgrounds in education, youth work, music, the Armed Forces community and child development, enabling them to provide valuable support to both our young people and staff team. Their dedication helps create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child can flourish, whether they are stepping onto a stage for the first time or developing their confidence through performance and teamwork.

We are always delighted to welcome new volunteers to our team. Volunteering with the Service Children’s Community Choir is a rewarding way to support local young people, share your skills and become part of a vibrant community. We also encourage young people who are looking to gain experience for their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, school enrichment programmes or future career aspirations in teaching, music or youth work. Whatever your background or level of experience, there are many ways to get involved and make a positive difference.
