Hi, my name is Seren and I am 10 years old. When I first found out that our choir was going on BGT, I was ecstatic!!
I thought it was going to be an amazing experience, and it really was. It was so unbelievably exciting that I just couldn’t wait to take part. I almost gave away the secret to my class! It was so hard to keep it all quiet, but when everyone would finally see our performance on TV then I would finally be able to tell everyone about it! We travelled to London in January and went to the London Palladium. There was a long wait for it to be our turn to audition. As soon as we were told that we were going on stage next, we all panicked. All of us thought, ‘’What if they buzz us off?’’, but luckily they didn’t, and we got through to the semi-final! This was the most stressful part because they could send us home. Unfortunately we were beaten in the public vote. It was so disappointing and upsetting, some members of the choir were even crying! We were all upset, but that wasn’t the end of the choir. Some quit, some stayed, but those of us who still come have gone on to take part in other exciting performances and rehearsals. I still love this musical family with all of my heart!
